On Sunday Feb. 26th Mallory Joan was baptized at St. Patrick's Church in Apalachicola, FL.
This is the church where we attend mass while vacationing in the panhandle. We have always felt welcome at St. Patrick's. Matt and I especially enjoy the beautiful simplicity of the church.
Mallory slept like an angel all through the 10am mass.
After mass, it was time to put on the baptismal gown.
The gown was made from Grandma Jo's wedding dress and subsequently worn by Grandma's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The change of attire woke our sleeping babe who then cried through the entire Baptism ceremony.
Uncle Adam was deemed a "Catholic in Good Standing" and therefore an acceptable sponsor for Mallory. Godmother Aunt Anne was there in spirit.
