Saturday morning we scrubbed ourselves clean and set up the camera on the tri-pod for our Christmas card photo. We even put down our handkerchiefs long enough for the camera to take a few decent shots.
You'll have to wait for your Christmas card to see the winning shot, but here are a couple out-takes:
After our fireplace photo shoot, we met up with Uncle Adam and Brittany at Saz's for lunch. The guys figured they should be paying customers to ride the free shuttle to the MU basketball game. And this time Jo got to tag along. Uncle Adam sat way down courtside with another friend. So Jo used Dad's phone to text Uncle Adam three pointer face updates during the game, signing off her texts as "jo!!!"
Sunday morning, Matt came to the rescue. I had mixed up sugar cookie dough the night before and left it to chill overnight in the fridge. When I tried to roll it out on the counter the next morning it crumbled into a million pieces. Rather than use the rolling pin, Matt patted the dough into little pancakes between his palms. Cookie-making prowess must be in his genes. The girls used the cookie cutters to make angel, star, tree and gingerbread man shapes.
While the younger two napped in the afternoon, Jo was out in the backyard trying to catch snow flakes on her tongue and make snow angels. She insisted she needed her sled, even though the grass was still visible under the dusting of snow.
Nine days in and its finally starting to feel like December.
