Flutterings

This morning I had my 22 week ultrasound appointment. Baby Glafcke #4 is measuring right on track for the Feb. 25th due date. For my previous 3 pregnancies I NEEDED to know if we were having a boy or a girl. I am a planner. How can I plan and prepare without knowing???

This time around we've decided not to find out baby's gender. I've mellowed. And we're all feeling excited about a new baby in our family.

Coryn comes home from school and whispers secret messages to my belly. Jo has been especially helpful with Mallory. Last night she volunteered to bathe Mallory, towel her off and put on her PJs. Jo tells me she's practicing now for when I'll be busy taking care of our new baby. And Mallory's getting some practice too. On Mondays, I've been taking care of a friend's newborn for a few hours. Mallory narrates when Michael is crying or awake or hungry. She likes to help me bounce him in the baby seat and is quick to retrieve his pacifier when it falls out of his mouth. She also insists on carrying his carseat - even though it is twice her size.

Life is busy with these 3 little ladies. But each night when I'm lying in bed and counting my blessings, I feel jabs and kicks from the littlest one growing inside me. Don't forget about me!, baby says.
