our new trees

This morning we woke to find an unpleasant surprise. Overnight a buck rubbed the bark on our new maple tree in the backyard. Mallory went outside to cheer up our wounded tree with a hug. Pop Pop TM says we need to get corrugated plastic tree protector.
When Jo and Coryn get home from school today I'm determined to snap a photo of them in front of each of the new maples. I've waited too long already and nearly all the leaves have fallen.

Minutes before the bus pulled up Dad came home with the plastic tubing to protect our new trees.
