Inspired by Clare McCallan's spoken word performance at Big Woods...
Below is a poem written by Coryn:

What is This All For?
I search for a meaning in all my good grades
In all my A's and teachers' smiles
In all the pride of my parents' words
What is all this for?
In all the Thank Yous for all my work around the house
What are those worth?
Nothing,
If I don't know why I did it.
I search for an answer to all my struggles
To all my studies
To get a good job?
To have lots of money?
This is what the world will tell you.
This is society's answer to the common question:
What is all this for?
I search for different answers
Or a different answer.
Only one would be enough.
I don't want to hear,
"Don't you want a good job?"
Or, "You need money to live."
Because
I don't
Think that
Money
Is the purpose
Of life.
And success doesn't matter
In the long shot.
This all isn't just for a good job,
Is it?
No.
I don't think so.
You may say that I'm being picky.
That I should take any answer I can get.
And accept it.
But I can't.
How could all my childhood and life just be for a good job?
There must be some other reason for all of this.
Money isn't the answer, either.
What is all this for?

Found Answer
Jesus.
He is the answer.
He is who we are all doing this for.
He is the reward
The grand and glorious reward
Of all our toils here on Earth.
He is the reason why we work
Why we learn
Why we LOVE.
He is worth
All our suffering,
All our sacrifices,
All our sorrow.
To be with Him
Will be worth it all.
This is the answer
I can accept
That I believe
To be true.
This answer makes sense.
JESUS is the answer,
No matter what the question is.
What is all this for?
Who is all this for?
Jesus.
