Missing Piece Found

The original front doors on our house looked like this: 

 



They were double doors that were neither sturdy nor nice to look at. There was a trick to getting the door open that entailed turning the knob, then releasing the knob before you could get in or out. In the winter time there was a strong draft that blew right under the doors and into the house.

 

 

 

 

This week our new singular front door with sidelights was installed.

This is how it looks from the inside (left) and outside (right).

 

I'd say we've found our missing piece.
