Coryn requested red velvet cake balls for her sixth birthday. Jo and Matt went to the store to buy the ingredients. But it turns out that cake balls are rather opposed to being poked with birthday candles. So we stuck her candles in ice cream for birthday song singing and wish making.
Jo made a giant birthday card for Coryn.
One night after dinner the girls went out front in their pjs and got creative with the milkweed pods.
From the look on her face you wouldn't know Gloria is a teething. You'll just have to take my word on it.
Mallory likes to dress herself these days. She frequently changes her wardrobe throughout the day.
Here's the official First Day of School shot. Matt took it because I was sound asleep. (Recall the teething baby.) The bus picks up the girls 30 minutes later than last year. Coryn is especially grateful for the extra time in the morning.
Jo took JoJo baseball cookies (from the weekend tailgate) to school for her birthday treat. That night Matt came home early and we sang happy birthday to Eight-Year-Old Josephine! (That means this blog is eight years old too!)
