The Age of Reason

Seven is a milestone birthday. According to Great Grandpa Mescher, Seven is the Age of Reason. I remember standing in the kitchen with the telephone and hearing my grandpa's radio voice tell me this was an important birthday:
Katie, this means you are old enough to know the difference between right and wrong.

This Tuesday Coryn will turn SEVEN years old!

She's made some special birthday requests - lucky charms for breakfast, bacon for dinner and DQ ice cream cake for dessert. She also requested a special birthday outing with a friend (and without the little sisters) to the Mineshaft - to play games and eat pizza.

Coryn is one inquisitive girl.
She is always asking questions, always proposing theories and never, EVER leaves home without a book or two to read.
She's eager to prepare for her First Reconciliation and First Communion.
Just like Dad - she loves listening to and singing along to music - The Beatles, Don McLean, Cat Stevens, and musical soundtracks.
Her favorite toys are playmobils.
She cannot wait to get her own school email address as a 2nd grader so she won't have to rely on mom's phone to send messages to family and friends.
She is so loving to her sisters - playing pretend with Jo for hours or reading a story to Mallory or teaching Gloria something new.
She's got an eye for the smallest details and a photographic steel trap of a memory.

Happy Birthday Week Coryn Mae!
We love you to the moon and back!
